After completing his move to Turkish side, Fenerbahce, Robin Van Persie took to social media to pay tribute to Arsenal and Manchester United.
The striker who was deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford joined Fenerbahce today after news surfaced that he was being considered by the Turkish outfit.
Shortly after making the switch, the Netherlands star took to Instagram to thank the two Premier League clubs who served as his employers during his stay in England.
He posted the below picture and wrote: “After 11 great years in the Premier League, I have taken on a new challenge at Fenerbahce!!
“Really excited to get started and get to know the beautiful city of Istanbul.
“Thank you to all the fans, who have supported me through the years, thank you Arsenal and thank you Manchester United. Wish you all the best.”
Van Persie left Arsenal in search of silverware in 2012 and won the Premier League with Manchester United in his debut season but struggled in the 2014/15 season.
Wishing him all the best as he begins another phase of his career.
