Arsene Wenger has assured the fans that more quality will be added to the present squad before the summer transfers pack up.
The Gunners will sign players in areas where they know need to be strengthened in order to strike a balance in the team and boost their chances of winning the Premier League.
Arsenal have already made a top signing in Petr Cech. The 33-year-old joined from Chelsea for £11million. He will likely make his debut by the time Chelsea and Arsenal clash at Wembley for the Community Shield in August. Cech will be wearing the number 33 jersey.
The Frenchman in an interview with Sky Sports unveiled his intention to sign more if all works well. He said: ‘If we can still add some quality, we will do it.
‘We lost (Mesut) Ozil and (Olivier) Giroud for long periods last year and they contributed a lot in the second half of the season. Let’s hope all these players will be fit and available.
‘The best way to strengthen other areas of the team is to get the players who did not play a lot last year and keep them fit.’
