Youngster Beats Theo Walcott to Become Fastest Arsenal Player Ever.

I am sure if many are asked who the fastest player at Arsenal is at the moment, they will say it is Theo Walcott. Well, anyone who gives such an answer definitely has not been following happenings at the North-London club so closely because it has been a while since Walcott was stripped of that.

Around this time last year, a 40m race was organised for Arsenal players so as to ascertain the fastest of them all and the winner of that contest was our young Spanish right-back, Hector Bellerin. He finished ahead of Walcott even though the time difference was less than a second.

Walcott was not convinced after that race and did not accept the fact that Bellerin was a faster player than he was but with the recent development, the English international will have no choice than to confess to the fact this time around.

Another contest has seen Bellerin emerge number one ahead of Walcott once again. This time, he was able to widen the gap between the finishing time of himself and his rival. The 20-year-old defender said that he does not see Theo agreeing that he [Hector] is faster.

“Everyone keeps telling me different numbers,” he told the Mirror. “But I know I beat Theo by literally one hundredth of a second after he had beaten Thierry, so you can do the maths.

“It was very close last year but this year I beat Theo by more of a distance. He won’t tell you that, though!”

Hector Bellerin now holds the record for the fastest Arsenal player ever. We are hoping to see him use his pace to dismantle Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool by the time they visit the Emirates Stadium for their Matchday 3 Premier League game on Monday night.
