As punishment for his refusal to leave the field on time when he was shown a red card by Mike Dean, Gabriel Paulista has been handed a one-match ban and also fined £10,000 by the English FA.
Gabriel was sent off after having a bust-up with Diego Costa in Arsenal's 2-0 loss to Jose Mourinho's side last Saturday. That meant he would miss his side's next three matches but after a review by the Football Association, the initial ban was lifted and Costa had to take it.
In another charge which he was given till Thursday to respond to, the Brazilian was found guilty of going against the authority of a referee and it for this reason he has been sanctioned.
The Arsenal defender will not be able to play for the Gunners by the time they visit Leicester City for Saturday's Premier League encounter.
