Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has in a recent interview given an update on the fitness condition of Alexis Sanchez who starred against Manchester United on Sunday evening.
Sanchez who grabbed a brace in that 3-0 win against Louis Van Gaal's side could not stay on till the end and had to be substituted in the 80th minute as a result of a groin injury. According to Wenger, it is not something so serious, so he expects the Chilean international to have fully recovered before the end of the international break.
The 26-year-old was named in the Chile squad that will face Brazil on this Friday and Peru next week Tuesday..
Speaking after the United game Wenger said: "He has a little groin problem.
"Unfortunately he goes to Chile. You cannot stop him from going to Chile and he loves so much to play for his country and he will play against Brazil [on Friday] and Peru [next] Tuesday so the game at home against Brazil he will not want to miss.
"Hopefully he will come back in good shape."
