Arsenal Hit by Volcanic Bayern at the Arena

On Wednesday night, Arsenal were heavily hit by volcanic Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in a Champions League game which ended 5-1 in favour of the hosts.

Three first half goals were enough to put our psychology on the low and situations even became worse when we conceded two more and scored just once in the final half. A big thanks to Petr Cech for ensuring we did not get more than that.

Thomas Muller bagged a brace while Robert Lewandowski, David Alaba and Arjen Robben got one each to put a question mark on our hopes of progressing to the round of sixteen. Arsenal's only goal was scored by Olivier Giroud.

We were without a number of our key players who are out injured but that isn't an excuse for such a poor display from the boys. We lost, so let's accept defeat. From all indications, Bayern were the better side in that encounter.

Now, our chance for qualification to the next stage is just so bleak. We wouldn't have needed to bother much about winning both legs against the Bavarians if we had taken our first two games so serious.

Now the deed had already be done. Let's just hope we get impressive wins against Zagreb and Olympiakos and hope Bayern hit the latter hard. There we go again with football Mathematics.

We need to bounce back against Tottenham Hotspur in our next game to avoid further damages. We are still in a better position on the league table, so let's continue moving with that pace. Still a proud Gunner! What about you?
