Arsenal In Trouble as Star Gets Long Term Injury

If one is to go by what the Mirror and some other sources are reporting concerning the injury sustained by Francis Coquelin during the West Brom game, then Arsenal are in for big trouble.

The Frenchman was taken off just thirteen minutes into the game that Arsenal lost 2-1. The exact nature and span of the injury was still unknown as at press time on Saturday and from what Wenger stated, scan results were still being awaited.

We were all still expecting the update to come from the Arsenal manager on Monday but tonight, it is already being claimed that Coquelin will be out for three months meaning we would not see him in action again for the rest of the year. They say it is a knee ligament damage. Let us hope to hear something different and positive from the mouth of the boss.

This is not a good one for Arsenal especially at a time when they have got high hopes of seriously mounting a challenge for the league title. Le Coq is the only reliable defensive midfielder in the Gunners' team right now, so his absence will be greatly felt and will sure have a negative effect on their campaign.

Mikel Arteta also got injured in that game and is expected to miss out of action for a while. How long he will be sidelined is still unknown.
