Arsenal Secure 3-0 Away Victory at Liberty Stadium

Arsenal on Saturday continued their fight for the title by inflicting a 3-0 defeat on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium and even though we were not at our best, maximum points were gotten, which is the most important thing.

Olivier Giroud opened scoring after a barren first half by heading in a Mesut Ozil cross. That goal was Arsenal's 2000th under Arsene Wenger.

Both sides had some other chances which made no difference to the scoreline until it got to the 68th minute when Laurent Koscielny doubled the lead. He took advantage of a Lukas Fabianski error to put the Gunners on a safer side, an act which angered the home fans as they deemed it a foul but since the referee of the day, Kevin Friend said there was nothing wrong, the goal had to stand.

Despite their 2-0 lead, the visitors were still not willing to relent as Joel Campbell who made his first Premier League start for Arsenal scored a third in the 74th minute. Guess what? It was Mesut Ozil who provided the assist meaning he now has nine league assists this season, making him the highest in the EPL.

Three goals, three points and a clean sheet for Arsenal. They remain tied on points with Manchester City who also managed a 2-1 win over Norwich City.

What a nice way to bounce back after the Sheffield Wednesday trashing and this victory will surely act as a morale boost ahead of our Champions League game with Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday.

Lest I forget, I was walking past Stamford Bridge on Saturday when I saw one (1) big tree (3) there. I asked how it got there and was made to know it was planted there by Jurgen Klopp and his men. Hehehe. Chelsea will soon become the world's largest oil producers with the way they are going down.
