Arsene Wenger Wins Award for the 15th Time

Arsene Wenger has scooped an award as the best Manager in the month of October. He has been named the Barclays Manager of the Month for October.

The Arsenal manager cruised his side to four wins in the league last month which included that super 3-0 trashing of Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium.

He followed that up with triumphs over Watford, Everton and Swansea City, meaning they went the whole of October unbeaten in the Premier League and are now tied on points with first positioned Manchester City.

Arsenal scored 11 times and conceded just once [against Everton], making their manager go ahead of Manuel Pellegrini and Claudio Ranieri of Leicester City. This is the 15th time Arsene would be winning this.

On winning the honour, the 66-year-old Frenchman said: "It is always good because it just reminds you that - especially after a defeat like we had on Wednesday night [5-1 Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich] - we have not done too badly in the last month.

"You worry as well about maintaining the run for coming months. That is what we want to do always."

Arsenal were unable to start November as they ended October as all they could get from the North-London derby was a draw. They will hope to return to winning ways by the time they travel to West Brom after the international break.
