DEAL ON: £25Million Bid Tabled for First January Signing

We are approaching that point in the season when teams who occupy a healthy spot on the league table and even those who are still struggling will want to do transfer business in order to bring in new faces.

Arsenal fall in the first category as they currently sit in second position with Manchester City just ahead with goals difference. For this reason, Arsene Wenger is willing to dot the 'Is' and cross the 'Ts' in his squad.

As part of his plans to strengthen in January, he is set to sign Daniele Rugani from Italy, says Tuttosport. Arsenal were one of the top European clubs who inquired about his availability during the summer transfer window but unfortunately for the North-Londoners, Juventus were the ones who succeeded in getting him.

Being that he is not getting the number of games a player of his quality requires, the defender is reportedly keen on joining another club. The likes of Fiorentina and Napoli have already proposed to offer £12.9million, so Arsenal will have to up their bid.

Information flying around the internet has it that the Gunners are prepared to pay a whopping £25million for the signature of the centre-back by the time the winter transfer window opens.

Rugani who is 21 years of age has not gotten a single appearance since making the switch to Juve in the last transfer window. That is enought for a player to worry about. Let us see how far Arsenal will go with this one.
