Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier was on the Soccer Saturday show hosted by SkySports on Saturday afternoon and he was asked to make a comparison of Arsenal's Mesut Ozil and Tottenham's Christian Eriksen.
His response wasn't one-sided even though he stated that Ozil is a more creative player than the Tottenham star. He made it clear that since they have different kinds of roles, it would be unfair to go too direct in his comparison.
“I think they are slightly different type of players," he said.
“I think they both give good qualities to their side, they are both pretty good on the ball, but I think Ozil is probably a little bit more creative.
“Eriksen is probably better at set-pieces, very good free-kick taker, one of the best I have seen in terms of his free kicks.”
Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will face each other in the North-London derby today and the two players will want to show their capabilities. Ozil has the highest number of assists in the Premier League so far this season.
