Anti-Arsenal Pundit Gives His Prediction of Boxing Day Game

Surprisingly, anti-Arsenal pundit, Michael Owen has this time thrown aside any sentiments and given his predictions as to how he thinks the Gunners' next Premier League game will go.

On different occasions, Owen has come under criticism from Arsenal fans and a lot of reasonable football followers for his ridiculous assessment of the team. At a time, he said they were not going to finish in top four, they did. He also said they would not get to the final of the FA Cup. They did and even won it. These are just a few.

The recent swipe he took at Arsene Wenger's team was directed at Mesut Ozil and that came during the Arsenal v Manchester City game. The pundit claimed the assist which led to Theo Walcott's goal shouldn't have been credited to Ozil.

Ahead of the Boxing Day fixtures, Owen made predictions for all the fixtures but this time, he was not crazy with that of Arsenal as usual.

“Saints, after an excellent opening 20 minutes, were no match for Spurs at St Mary’s last weekend and Arsenal, on the crest of a wave after their win against City earlier in the week, are taken to land the North London double,” he wrote.

“This really is the Gunners’ big chance of landing the Premier League title and, with home games against Bournemouth and Newcastle to come over the Xmas period, they should have too much for a Saints’ side whose big players are all below par at present.”
Arsenal are now second on the league table and will be hoping to continue their fine form by the time they visit St. Mary's to play against Southampton on Saturday which is Boxing Day.
