Arsene Wenger has given a positive update on the injury front and I guess this will get all Arsenal fans shouting 'Halleluyah!'
The Frenchman has revealed that Alexis Sanchez will be back in training by Monday and has a high chance of featuring when Arsenal face Manchester City.
The Chilean international got injured during his side's game with Norwich City two weeks ago and since then, there had been mixed predictionsa.
At the initial stage, the hamstring problem was thought to be something serious and so it was being speculated that he will be out for about four weeks. Another report followed claiming he will not be back till New Year but at the moment, the 2015 Copa America winner is set for a comeback.
In a chat with the Daily Mail, Wenger said: ‘He trains with us on Monday morning.”
‘I sent him back to Chile, where he has been with the physio of the national team, and we will see what kind of state he is in next week.’
‘He may be a bit short for City, certainly, but with Alexis you never know.’
His absence has not been really felt with Arsenal winning 3-1 and 3-0 against Sunderland and Olympiakos respectively but it's of no doubt that his presence would have put more spice into the team's flow. His return will be a massive boost for the Gunners as they look to defend their strong position on the league table.
