Arsenal Get Reduced Price Tag for Coquelin Replacement

Arsene Wenger earlier made it known that he will be doing a number of transfer activities in January so as to strengthen his squad who are now in a good position on the league table.

The Gunners have lost players to injuries, hence the need to look for alternatives as they head into a very busy period of the season.

We have gotten various links with players already and this morning, we learnt from the Mirror that a consideration is being made for Mohamed Elneny of FC Basel in Switzerland.

Alongside Victor Southampton's Wanyama and Sporting Club’s William Carvalho, Elneny is being followed closely and it is believed that Arsenal are willing to meet his £5 million release fee.

If signed, he will stand in for Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla who are not expected to return from their respective injuries anytime soon.
