Arsenal Football Club have invited Nigerian Under 17 star, Victor Osimhen for a trial which will decide if he is fit for the club or not.
Osimhen was the name on the lips of everyone at the 2015 Under 17 World Cup which held in Chile because of the great exploits he did. He scored ten goals in seven games all through the tournament and for this reason caught the interest of top European clubs.
Manchester City are one of the interested clubs and Wolfsburg already conducted a trial for him. He discussed interests from clubs in an interview on a Nigerian radio station on Wednesday where he made it known that his dream club is Real Madrid.
On the trial with Wolfsburg and the upcoming one with Arsenal, he said: “I spoke with the coach [of Wolfsburg] who also made several promises and if I eventually choose to sign for them, I hope they’ll keep their word.”
“But I have not decided where to go yet because Arsenal are also showing strong interests and perhaps after my visit to the club, I will have a clear view of where I want to go.”
There are claims that his family want him to join Arsenal and shun other clubs as that will be exposed to more opportunities at the Emirates.
"We want him to develop his football career alongside education", his brother said. "Our family wants a club that will help him to grow."
