According to recent updates, Arsenal have lost tabs on one of their long-term targets as he has decided to stay put where he is.
Napoli midfielder, Jorginho has signed a long-term contract extension at the club, meaning he will not be leaving anytime soon. The news was announced on the club's official website yesterday.
Speaking on the deal, his agent said: “In June we had offers to leave, but (sporting director Cristiano) Giuntoli and (coach Maurizio) Sarri immediately put their trust in him,” his agent Joao Santos said.
“Napoli for life? Napoli have a similar philosophy to Barcelona, buy players at around 21 and improve them so you can reap the rewards five years down the line.”
What next? Well, Arsene Wenger will have to turn to one of his other options and see if anything reasonable can come out in due time. Until then, keep eating your rice and chicken.
