INJURY NEWS: Arsenal Duo Set to Make Sensational Return

Tomorrow is the day when Arsenal will take on Burnley in the fourth round of the FA Cup and as we await kick off, here are some injury updates from the manager.

Arsene Wenger at his press conference disclosed that captain Per Mertesacker has no chance of appearing in the team on Saturday as a result of a red card which he got in the game against Chelsea. As for others who featured in the last game, they are all fit.

The boss went further to reveal that long-term absentee, Francis Coquelin is likely to start against Burnley after having a consistent run of training with the rest of the team. The Frenchman has gotten fit ahead of time. He was initially scheduled to return in March but he is already available. Good one!

If you have really missed Tomas Rosicky and wish to see him play again then I am happy to let you know that he is also available for selection. I expect him to get at least a substitute appearance.

Danny Welbeck is back in training but still needs some games at the junior level before breaking into the first team once again. You know it's been about nine months since he last played, so he would be match rusty at the moment.

Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla are still out but are progressing well in their recovery. The next few weeks should be enough for the duo to get back to normal.

That's all on injuries for now. Hope we beat Burnley to qualify for the next round of the competition.
