Arsene Wenger as we have always known him is one manager who keeps having faith in his players and Jack’s case is not any different. The Frenchman is willing to keep him at Arsenal despite his many injury woes. He still believes the midfielder has better days ahead of him and for that reason does not want to sell him.

“I’m optimistic. The games he played in recent years is not many. I hope at some stage it will stop because he’s young.” he added.

Wilshere has not been able to survive a full season without injuries since breaking into the first team in 2010. Nevertheless, he has impressed whenever had been available to play. Few of the games he played when he resumed towards the end of last season saw him score a goal which was later voted the BBC Goal of the Season.
