Arsenal faithfuls will be more than happy with the news that one of their stars is drawing close to full recovery and will be reappearing anytime soon.
Santi Cazorla sustained a knee ligament injury back in November when the Gunners recorded a 1-1 draw with Norwich City and since then, he has not featured in any game. He has been off the pitch for three months already.
Speaking in an interview, the Spanish international stated that he is working hard towards being fully fit by the time Arsenal visit the Nou Camp to play Barcelona in the return leg of the Champions League last 16 on March 16.
“I am eager to return,” he told Spanish radio station Onda Cero.
“It is a pain to be on the sidelines and not have the chance to help your team, especially when there is a game like the one against Barcelona that everyone wants to play in.
“[Playing in the second leg against Barcelona] is the goal that I have. The knee is fine.
“I am working better every day. The aim is to set to return [against Barca] but I’m not obsessed myself. I have to go day by day.”
Arsenal lost 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium to Barcelona on Tuesday night and will be looking to overturn that defeat when they go to Spain. It will be a very difficult task to undergo even though we know it is not impossible. Like DJ Xclusive will say: "This is football, anything can happen."
