Arsenal star and English international, Jack Wilshere has stated his varying duties at both the club and country levels.
According to him, while Arsene Wenger deploys him as an attacking midfielder, Roy Hodgson sees him more as a defensive midfield player.
Wilshere who has been out of action for long is an influential figure at the Emirates Stadium and in his national side and in a recent interview, he discussed how he contributes in different ways.
“With England I play the one on my own and I enjoy that – I enjoy getting on the ball and starting things,”he said. “But with Arsenal we don’t play that system, we play the two. And I feel I can play in that.
“At the end of the day I suppose it’s down to the boss and we’ve had many conversations about it, and sometimes I’ve played on the wing for Arsenal. So I think the boss sees me more as an attacking player whereas the England boss sees me more of a holding player.
Quizzed about his confidence level when on the ball, the English international who has not featured for the Gunners this season responded:
Wilshere is nearing full recovery and should join the rest of his teammates very soon. His arrival will definitely be a big boost for Arsenal.
