For some time now Arsenal have been seriously linked with a midfielder who plays for a club in Europe and right now, there is an update in that regard.
According to Sky Sports Germany, Arsenal have agreed to pay the requested price for Borussia Monchengladbach's Granit Xhaka who has a £34m tag on his head.
He has been rumoured to be the Gunners' priority summer signing and the links even got more intensity when it was reported by a German outfit that Arsene Wenger has had a chat with the player's father over a possible summer transfer.
The news has not been taken as serious by many before now but since Sky Sports have come in, our hopes are on high. It is not as if they are 100% accurate all the time but they've got high credibility as far as journalism is concerned.
This is a chance for the 23-year-old Swiss international to play in the Premier League having previously revealed his dream of wanting to play in England.
If true, then this is a nice move by Arsenal. However, the club should not forget that improvements have to be made in other departments within the squad.
