Arsenal have finally completed the signing of a midfielder who they got linked to sometime around December 2015. He is Kelechi Nwakali!
A statement issued by the CEO of the youngster's former club, ASJ Academy reads: “Kelechi has signed with Arsenal, it is now a done deal. He signed the contract 3 pm today (Wednesday)."
“His mother and brother Allwell were there. Manchester City loanee Chidiebere Nwakali came all the way from Norway to London to witness his brother signing the contract.”
The Nigerian talent penned a five-year contract and had his first training session at London Colney on Wednesday before taking to Twitter to make the public announcement.
Welcome to Arsenal Kelechi! We hope you have a successful reign at the club.
Meanwhile, fans are still waiting for top signings. Kelechi is not expected to break directly into the first team. He is one for the future.
