Arsenal have received positive news as they prepare to kick off this season's Champions League tournament.
Ahead of their game with Paris Saint Germain, Arsene Wenger has revealed that Laurent Koscielny would be available for the trip.
The French defender got injured in the face during the Gunners' 2-1 victory over Southampton on Saturday and what initially looked serious was only a minor one after all.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, the Arsenal boss said: “He's alright."
“He had a big knock on his face [after the Southampton game] but recovered quite well. I was concerned after the game that he wouldn't be available, but he's alright.”
The return of Koscielny who scored and was later voted Man of the Match in the Southampton game will go a long way in favouring the Gunners' defence in today's UEFA Champions League opener..
