Germany international, Shkodran Mustafi who signed for Arsenal Football Club during the just concluded summer transfer window has revealed the role which Mesut Ozil played in his move to the Emirates Stadium.
The defender who just joined the Gunners is a fellow international team-mate of Mesut Ozil and he stated that himself and Ozil spoke extensively concerning Arsenal while with Germany at the just concluded Euro 2016.
“We were at the European Championship and we had time to speak,” Mustafi told Arsenal Player. “He told me about the club, about the team, and the things that he told me made me come here.”
Mustafi also added that Ozil motivated him further by telling him more about the love the fans have for football. There is no doubt that Arsenal fans are always being supportive irrespective of the current form of the team.
“I noticed that it’s a club where I can develop, where I can grow as a player.
“He said that he’s happy here, that the people are crazy for football and that it’s a team that enjoys playing football the way that he does, the way that I do.”
You all will agree that Ozil has said it all about Arsenal and obviously, he really contributed to the successful signing of the player.
