Why Arsenal Man Rejected Offer to Join PSG

If you have been an Arsenal fan for at least the past seven years, then you should have heard of PSG's interest in Arsene Wenger on two different occasions. The first should be sometime around 2011 while another was in November last year.

On both occasions, the Frenchman turned down their advances and this made some wonder why he did so even when it meant a pay rise for him.

In an interview ahead of Arsenal's clash with Paris Saint Germain, Wenger revealed that his love for the North-London club was the reason he did not pat attention to external offers.

When quizzed on the topic, he responded:"Because I love where I am.

‘I know well the PSG owners but I feel always I remained loyal to Arsenal Football Club because I think it’s a club that has the qualities I love. And that’s why.

‘This is an important game but I don’t think it goes beyond two good sides playing against each other.

‘There’s no symbolism to it, no symbolic meaning to this match. We just want to pick up the three points.’

Arsenal and PSG will lock horns on Tuesday night as both sides look to begin their Champions League campaign on a good note.
