Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has given the secret behind the recent goalscoring form of Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil. The duo have helped their side secure several points so far this season and the Frenchman says it is all down to the efforts of Alexis Sanchez.

The Copa America gold medalist who has been moved to a central role has raked in a total of six goals in the present campaign while his counterparts, Walcott and Ozil, have scored eight and six respectively.

The goals between the German and English international according to Henry bursts down to the tireless strife of Sanchez who deserves the credit.

“He did it for Udinese also in Italy and does it ever so well,” Henry said.

“When you have a guy who as a No.9, the way he puts pressure, the way he moves, his vision for the ball, that creates a lot of holes for Ozil. That’s why Ozil is scoring a lot of goals – off the movement of Alexis Sanchez.

“Ozil can now go and make those runs as a No.10. Theo [Walcott] is scoring a lot of goals also because there’s a lot of movement.

“I think Arsene [Wenger] did it pretty well and I think the reason why Arsenal are doing well so far during this season is because Alexis is playing up there and making all those movements to create a lot of space for Ozil.”

Arsenal are currently second on the league table, tied on points with Manchester City who are leaders. They occupy the slot for the third most scoring Premier League side so far this season.
