According to latest reports, Arsenal tried to sign Manuel Locatelli from AC Milan during the most recent summer transfer window.
Several transfer activities were carried out by the Gunners during that period which one could say was the best of their dealings in the last ten seasons and we have been made to understand by sources in Italy that it could have been better than it was.
Calcio Mercato affirms that AC Milan youngster, Locatelli who is being dubbed 'the next Pirlo' by fans was on Arsenal's books but the club's vice president failed to honour the bid as he was not willing to lose such a talent.
The young midfielder has now been promoted to the first team. He featured and scored in their 4-3 triumph over Sasuollo.
