Arsenal are said to be after AS Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes, a standout performer for the Italian side.
The 22-year-old has established himself as a first team regular and is currently a favourite for manager Luciano Spaletti.
According to reports in the tabloids, the Gunners have met with the representatives of the player over a possible January transfer to North-London.
It is however unlikely that Arsenal will make any success in getting him in January as his club may find it difficult to let him leave at such a crucial time when the season has just gotten halfway.
Paredes will definitely make a great asset for Arsenal but will have to work very hard to get into the team considering the number of stars currently at the club.
