After seeing his Arsenal side qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League for the 17th consecutive time, Arsene Wenger has revealed his next target in the competition.

The Gunners made a stunning comeback from Ludogorets' two goal lead to record a 3-2 away victory and the manager who feels that was a positive attitude by his players has a higher vision for his team.

According to him, he is aiming to finish top of the group so as to avoid being paired with a very dangerous team in the next round.

“I believe that the most difficult thing in life is to be consistent at the top level,” said the Arsenal boss. “So it shows we have been quite consistent there.

“Hopefully we can go further now. We have a game at home where we can finish top of the group. Let’s maintain the quality of our results until the game against Paris St Germain. We are in a position to finish top of the group.

“You get belief with positive results, and this shows a healthy mentality in the group. The two together come out in these kind of games.”

Arsenal's home game against Paris Saint Germain will go a long way in deciding if they will finish up as group leaders or not.
