Arsenal on Tuesday night booked their place in the last 16 stage of the Champions League for the 17th consecutive time having made a comeback to beat Ludogorets.

The Gunners conceded two first half goals in quick succession but the timely intervention of Granit Xhaka and Olivier Giroud put Arsenal on level terms at the break. The first half ended 2-2.

The visitors struggled to create reasonable chances in the second half as the hosts gave them no space to play the usual free-flowing game. Nevertheless, the God of soccer heard the cries of the fans and came to our rescue by using his servant, Mesut Ozil, to put Arsenal ahead for the first time in that encounter.

The German international's class enabled him chip the Ludogorets goalkeeper, make a fool of the two central defenders who tried to prevent him from going through, and then send the ball into the net. Elneny who came in as a substitute for Xhaka was the assist provider of the winning goal. He hadn't even spent a minute on the pitch before making an impact.

Ozil's assist to Giroud made it his 200th in his career while the latter's goal was his third in two appearances. He scored twice as a substitute against Sunderland on Saturday.

Arsenal will now head into the weekend in high spirits with a game with their top rivals awaiting them. It's the North-London Derby against Tottenham Hotspur.
