Arsene Wenger met with the press after Arsenal's game with Paris Saint Germain on Wednesday night and at the briefing, he stated what he noticed about his team.

The Gunners dropped down to second place as they failed to maintain their 2-1 lead in the second half.

To the boss, that occurred because they failed to put a lot of pressure on the visitors after taking the lead.

“To give an own goal on the second goal is disappointing. We were playing against a good side but we weren’t, for 90 minutes, technically fluent enough to dominate completely our subject.

“Tonight, my concern is that we were 2-1 up and didn’t maintain the pressure on them and allowed them to come back. It is difficult to understand how easily we gave a goal way on the corner.

“Especially at the moment, I feel that we lack something in our creativity, still there is a great spirit in the squad, we got a point, certainly it will not be enough but you never know.

“As I told you before the game, I saw exactly the same, let’s try to finish the job well and try to win the game [against Basel].”

The last group games will determine who finishes first and second in the group. It is however likely that Arsenal will remain where they are at the end of it all because PSG who are currently on top are favourites to win by the time they play Ludogorets at home, so even if we beat Basel, it changes nothing.
