Arsenal will play Preston North End in the third round of the FA Cup, courtesy a draw which was held on Monday night.

The last time Arsenal played this Championship side was 1999 when they locked horns in a League Cup game.

The Gunners emerged winners on that occasion. Strikes from Nwankwo Kanu and Stefan Malz helped to secure a 2-1 victory at Highbury.

Arsene Wenger's men will travel to Deepdale for the FA Cup clash which will hold anytime between January 6 and 9, 2017.
