Arsene Wenger may have dashed the expectations of Arsenal fans with the revelation he made at his pre-match press conference today.

The predictions of some supporters is that the boss will bring in some new faces to boost his current squad but it looks as if things won't work that way after all.

In a chat with journalists on Friday, the Frenchman said that he has all he needs at the moment and as such won't need to enter the market by January.

Asked if the return of some key players from injury will have a say in his transfer dealings, Wenger said: "Of course, because we have Lucas, we have Giroud, we have Alexis, we have Welbeck."

"Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, who is nearly a striker. So we have plenty of options offensively.

"Defensively, we are not in the need at the moment."

This will surely anger fans who experience the same old stuff under the 67-year-old every season.

They begin the season on a good note, record massive injuries by December and when they expect more signings in the winter window, the boss says his team is okay, then ends up losing the league title.
