Bayern Munich star Arjen Robben has relayed his fears over the outcome of the recent Champions League round of 16 draw which saw them get Arsenal as opponents.

The Bavarians who finished second in their group have met Arsenal a number of times in the last three years but they now seem to have dropped a bit, a fact which Robben is aware of.

Speaking in an interview on ESPN, the Dutchman admitted that it will not come so easy as it had been for them in the past.

“We’ve played them a few times over the last few years and always won — we always got through to the next round — but maybe this one will be the toughest one so far,” he said.

“For us, it’s very important that we’re at a 100 percent after the winter break when we play them. For them, the pressure is to make it to the quarterfinal for the first time in many years. Our target is always the final. But this draw doesn’t make it easy [for either team.]”

The draw initially came as a shock for many of us but we have now accepted it in good faith. I have a great belief in our present team and feel we can progress at the Bundesliga side's expense.

We are better than we used to be, so if we can manage to get injured key players back before the double-legged tie in February and march , then we are good to go.
