According to Kevin Kilbane, there is this Arsenal player who does something stupid in every game he is involved in. Really? I never noticed.
The pundit told BBC Sport that Granit Xhaka is that player who fails to learn from the past and keeps on doing silly things week in, week out.
The Swiss midfielder was responsible for the first goal we conceded during our game with Stoke City on Saturday.
He sent Joe Allen down through an elbow jab which did look unintentional. The penalty was then converted by Charlie Adam to put the visitors ahead in the first half.
The penalty foul was a mild one and Kevin Kilbane feels it is something that could have been avoided by the careless Xhaka.
"It looked like a penalty to me initially, because Granit Xhaka goes over the top on Joe Allen," said the former Everton man.
"Xhaka does something stupid every game he plays in, he's on the edge for no reason."
Arsenal still went on to pull a comeback by winning 3-1 through goals from Theo Walcott, Mesut Ozil and Alex Iwobi.
