Jack Wilshere is aware of the situation at his parent club and as such wants to do his best to help them out.

The English international joined Bournemouth in the summer after new signings at the North-London club reduced his chances of getting regular playtime.

Bournemouth will be playing against League leaders Chelsea on Boxing Day and Wilshere feels a win at Stamford Bridge will go a long way in helping the Gunners.

He has promised that he and his side will do their possible best to favour Arsenal who are currently nine points behind Chelsea after losing two Premier League games in a row.

Wilshere is quoted as saying by The Daily Express: “It is a difficult game going to Stamford Bridge.

“Chelsea are a good team, they are unbeaten for 11 games. They look strong.

“I want Arsenal to do well so if we can beat them and do Arsenal a favour, everyone is happy.

“We wanted to win back to back games for the first time this season and felt we were in a good position to do that.

“We beat a good Leicester team and we were disappointed we didn’t play the way we know we can play at the weekend [against Southampton] and let ourselves down a bit.”

Arsenal will be hoping to get all three points from their Boxing Day game against West Bromwich Albion so as to revive their title hopes..
