Michael Owen has revealed that if there is any Arsenal player he wouldn't have loved to play against, it's Gabriel Paulista.

The former Liverpool and Manchester United striker says the aggressive nature of the Brazilian defender makes him a great obstacle for opposition forwards.

Shortly before Arsenal faced Everton on Tuesday night, the football pundit said on BT Sport: “He’s a centre-half who I would hate to play against.

“He’s an aggressive centre-half who doesn’t give you a minute.

“I’d prefer to play against a big lad who struggles to turn but he’s so aggressive, almost like Martin Keown was in his day.

“He carries a risk playing like that, but it’s not nice to play against.”

Gabriel has returned to the Arsenal starting lineup after summer signing Shkodran Mustafi sustained a hamstring injury which will keep him out of action for at least three weeks.
