Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi was attacked by a fan after our 2-1 loss at Goodison Park on Tuesday night.
The said fan was enraged by the Nigerian's performance and felt the best way to pour out his anger was through social media.
The Gunners took the lead through an Alexis Sanchez strike in the 20th minute but went on to lose to Everton who were the hosts of the night.
After the game, Iwobi posted reactions from some fans on Snapchat among which a violent attack from a supporter was included.
The Arsenal youth academy product also posted a picture containing a supportive message from another fan.
This one made Iwobi happy and he replied: “People like this I respect, I tried but was unfortunate. I apologise.”
