Arsenal were dealt a heavy blow with a loss at Goodison Park on Tuesday night and Arsene Wenger says it was down to their inability to take their chances.

The Gunners took the lead through Alexis Sanchez before Coleman grabbed an equaliser for the host so close to the break.\\

Arsenal conceded a second towards the close of the day, meaning they have now lost two Premier League games out of sixteen this season.

Speaking on the loss, the manager blamed Mesut ozil for failing to convert well when the need arose in the course of the match.

‘We had some very good chances, especially from Mesut,’ said Wenger afterwards. ‘They made the game very physical then we lost our flow.

‘Unfortunately we didn’t take our chances. We didn’t create many but we had clear-cut chances we didn’t make the most of.’

Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from this setback when they play Manchester City in their next league game.

    1. He didn't need to be explicit in his accusation. Read between the lines.
