It is believed that Alexis Sanchez is being tracked for a big money transfer to China and this is likely to pose a big problem for Arsenal who are trying to tie him to a new deal.
According to reports doing the rounds in the media, some Chinese agents have made contact with the representatives of the Chilean international over a move that will see him earn a whopping £400,000-a-week in their Super League.
That offer, if successful will make Alexis the biggest earner in the history of the league in China.
The Gunners are already in talks to extend his stay at the Emirates Stadium but it is still unknown whether he will put pen to paper and with the Chinese offer, things may become more difficult for Arsenal who will surely not be willing to compete with such a ridiculous wage.
To remain at Arsenal Alexis wants to become the highest paid player at the club, so we have been made to understand. He currently earns £130,000-a-week and Arsenal are set to place him on a £200,000-a-week deal.
It remains to be seen if the 28-year-old whose contract expires in 18 months time will give in to calls from the far East (China) or remain in London by the time the summer transfer window opens.
What can you say about this new development? Do you think Sanchez will still be an Arsenal player next season?
