Granit Xhaka has denied his reported involvement in an incident which saw him use derogatory remarks on a lady.

It was revealed that the Arsenal midfielder called a an airport worker f***in* white b*t* on Monday night.

According to top sources, the Swiss international had seen his friend who paid him a visit in England off to the airport but due to his pal's lateness, he was told he couldn't travel at that time.

Xhaka then used the above prejudicial phrase on the lady for a reason still unknown to us.

He has however denied saying anything of such when Arsene Wenger asked him about it.

"I've spoken to him about it and he denies the incident completely," Wenger told a press conference ahead of Saturday's FA Cup game at Southampton.

"He denied what he is alleged to have said."

The former Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder has since been interviewed by the Metropolitan Police.

Xhaka's red card against Burnley means he will begin his four-game suspension when Arsenal visit St. Mary's this weekend. He won't make the trip to Stamford Bridge as well.

The 24-year-old's 5 red cards in the last two seasons make him the player with the highest red cards in all of Europe's top five leagues..
