After being in the news for earning a red card in the game against Burnley on Sunday, Granit Xhaka has reappeared in another unpleasant occurrence.

The Swiss international allegedly used derogatory language on a female worker at the Heathrow Airport in London.

The incident which occurred on Monday night has seen him summoned and questioned by the police.

Reports claim that Xhaka was with a friend who was returning home after a visit. The said friend who was to make a trip to Germany arrived late and was not allowed to board a flight.

The enraged Xhaka then racially abused a lady in German language, calling her 'f**ck**g white b*t*h'.

A representative of the Metropolitan Police in an interview with the BBC said: "Police were called at 19:29 GMT on Monday, 23 January following an allegation that a member of staff had been racially abused at Heathrow Airport, Terminal Five.

"The allegation was made by a third party. Officers attended and spoke with a man in his 20s. He was not arrested. He voluntarily attended a west London police station where he was interviewed under caution. Enquires continue."

Arsenal have refused to make any comments on this as they feel it is a private matter which is already under the control of the police.
