Arsene Wenger has hit out at the organizers of the Premier League over the festive period fixtures which he claims is the worst he has seen in his 20-year reign at Arsenal.

Having to play many games within few days isn't the Frenchman's major concern here. He doesn't just think it is ideal to favour some teams over others.

Take a look at this: Arsenal who played Crystal Palace on Sunday will have to travel to Bournemouth two days later [Tuesday] while Chelsea who were in action on Saturday will be out again on Wednesday. So ridiculous, isn't it?

"In 20 years it is the most uneven Christmas period I have seen on the fixture front," Wenger said ahead of Arsenal's trip to Bournemouth.

"The difference of rest periods is absolutely unbelievable, compared to the other teams it is unbelievable."

"I don't know any more whether the Premier League is the master of the fixtures.

"We have to accept that television chooses the games - but I must say on that front that some teams have a bit more luck than others."
