Arsene Wenger is so desperate to fill the void left by Robin Van Persie and as such has focused his attention on Andrea Belotti.

The Sun understands that the striker who has been in the news over a possible transfer to the Emirates Stadium is also keen on moving to the Premier League.

The obstacle on Wenger's way however is the the $62 million asking price of Torino who are set to cash in heavily on their much-cherished asset.

There is also news elsewhere that if the deal does not go through this summer, the Frenchman will wait till the summer transfer window before making another bid.

It is not surprising that Torino are demanding such a fee for the 23-year-old considering his stats so far this season.

The Italian international has been involved in 17 of their goals so far in the campaign. He has raked a total of 13 goals and 4 assists.

Manchester City, Chelsea and a host of European clubs have also made their intentions of getting him known, so Wenger will have to face stiff competition.
