Arsene Wenger answered questions from journalists at his pre-Burnley press conference on Thursday morning.
The boss answered questions ranging from the fitness of his players to the contract situations of some of the club's top men.
During the session, the boss playfully gave a reporter the privilege to ask him about Alexis sanchez and Mesut Ozil contract matters.
Thinking there was something special to be revealed, the journo happily asked and to the surprise of everyone present, the Frenchman replied 'no'.
Reporter: "Without going into Sanchez & Ozil’s futures…"
Wenger: "You can"
Reporter: "Is there an update on their futures?"
Wenger: "No"
It is certain that the duo whose contracts expire by 2018 will not be leaving this january so the boss isn't really in a rush over proceedings. Something can still be done before the end of the present campaign.
Alexis and Ozil are expected to help out the Gunners to another victory by the time they host Burnley at the Emirates on Sunday.
