Granit Xhaka has stated that Alexis Sanchez has the qualities required to act as a role model for the younger generation.
The Swiss international has established himself as a regular since joining from Borussia Monchengladbach in the last summer transfer window.
Having played the full 90 minutes in the last nine Premier League outings, Xhaka has been able to stand out as one of the bonafile box-to-box players at the club.
The 24-year-old in the buildup to the Burnley game made a pick which wouldn't come as a surprise to football lovers.
Speaking to the club's official website, he resounded his belief in Sanchez, tipping him as someone whose ways could help inspire others.
“I think Alexis can be a good role model, because he always pushes himself to his limits, no matter if it’s in training or in a match.
“He can be a good role model for the young players.”
