Arsenal will begin their FA Cup campaign by the time they play Preston North End on Saturday and Arsene Wenger has given the latest on player injuries ahead of the encounter.

He discussed the fitness levels of Francis Coquelin, Lucas Perez, Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla while also revealing the squad to be deployed in the coming fixture.

The Frenchman stated on Thursday that the only injury recorded away at Bournemouth was the one sustained by Perez. His recovery rate in the coming days will decide if he will be available or not.

I wonder why he said Perez was the only injured player from that game. What of Coquelin and Ramsey? Well, I feel he mixed words up.

For Coquelin who was taken off in that 3-3 draw against Bournemouth, he is out. He should be missing from action for at least three weeks being that it is a hamstring strain. Wenger however made it known that there is a possibility he'll make a return quicker than predicted.

Mesut Ozil returned to training today after being on the sick bed for two weeks. He wasn't available when Arsenal played Crystal Palace and Bournemouth as a result of flu but has now resumed training.

Wenger said that the German international will still have to be accessed. There is a high possibility he will not feature at the weekend.

Of all injuries Arsenal have got at the moment, Cazorla's looks to be the worst. The Spanish's recovery progress isn't going as planned and the boss feels he will be out for a longer period.

Cazorla is not out running yet and will definitely not play in the next two or three months.
