Arsenal defender Calum Chambers has picked up an injury which will see him miss out of action for a number of weeks.
The 22-year-old who is on loan at Middlesbrough suffered a stress fracture on his foot and will be unavailable for a while.
The absence of the English international will definitely come as a disappointment for manager Aitor Karanka who sees him as an important piece in his squad.
The Boro boss gave the nature of the fitness issue but couldn't ascertain its length as of when he spoke to pressmen.
“It’s a stress fracture in his foot,” said Karanka. “I don’t know how long he will be out because sometimes you think it’s going to be one or two weeks and maybe it’s three or four.
“I don’t know. At the moment, he’s trying to be fit as soon as possible.”
