Arsene Wenger has ruled two of his stars out of his side's FA Cup third round tie which is scheduled to hold on Saturday.

Arsenal will play away at Preston North End and in a chat with journalists, the manager revealed that Laurent Koscielny and Alexis Sanchez will not be available to feature in that encounter.

Their absence from the match isn't as a result of any serious injury but just a precaution to prevent them from getting into red zone.

According to Wenger, the duo aren't as agile as they should be and this is why he has decided to give them some rest.

"We will play with 90 per cent of the squad", Wenger said. "I will rest Koscielny because he came off with fatigue, of course Ospina will play, maybe Alexis I will rest certainly, but the rest will play."

Koscielny was taken off the Bournemouth game as he seemed not to be in top form so one can understand why Wenger wants him to stay out but as for Alexis who is a workaholic, I feel an explanation is needed.

All the same, we hope he fields a strong squad in tomorrow's clash as he has already promised. We all know him to be someone who loves to field more youth players in English cup fixtures.
