Ex Arsenal star and Sky Sports pundit has come under fire after giving his prediction for the FA Cup fourth round match with Southampton.
Speaking ahead of the game, Paul Merson stated that he does not feel Arsenal have what it takes to win that game.
He gave the Gunners no upper hand as he said that the best they could get was a draw. He said: "I don't see Arsenal winning. They're not blowing teams away like they used to. I think a draw."
Contrary to the prediction of the 48-year-old, the Gunners scored a whopping five goals to see themselves through to the fifth round.
A brace and hattrick from Danny Welbeck and Theo Walcott respectively coupled with Alexis', Perez's and Chamberlain's outstanding displays did the trick.
